General Questions

What services does Jackson Alpha Graphics offer? +

We specialize in three core areas: Editorial Design for Analytical Publications (journals, reports, white papers), Website Development for Research and Industry (responsive sites, data visualization, content management), and Corporate Visualization and Communication Systems (branding, presentations, marketing materials). Our expertise is particularly focused on serving research institutions, government agencies, and technology companies.

Who are your typical clients? +

Our clients include research institutions, government agencies, technology companies, analytical centers, media holdings, and publishers. We work with organizations that need to communicate complex technical or scientific information with clarity and visual impact. Examples include university research centers, federal agencies, private sector R&D departments, and analytical think tanks.

What makes Jackson Alpha Graphics different from other design agencies? +

Our specialization in analytical and scientific communication sets us apart. We understand the unique challenges of presenting technical information—balancing accuracy with accessibility, maintaining credibility while engaging readers, and creating visual systems that enhance rather than distract from complex content. Our team has over a decade of experience working exclusively in these specialized sectors.

Where is Jackson Alpha Graphics located? +

Our office is located in Washington, D.C., at 1627 K Street NW, Suite 1100. However, we work with clients throughout North America and Europe. Many of our projects are conducted remotely with excellent collaboration tools, allowing us to serve clients regardless of geographic location.

Project Process

How do I start a project with Jackson Alpha Graphics? +

Starting a project is simple. Contact us through our website form, email, or phone to schedule an initial consultation. During this conversation, we'll discuss your goals, timeline, and requirements. We'll then provide a project proposal outlining scope, deliverables, timeline, and cost. Once you approve the proposal, we'll schedule a kickoff meeting to begin the Discovery & Strategy phase.

What is your typical project timeline? +

Timelines vary based on project scope and complexity. A typical website project takes 8-12 weeks from kickoff to launch. Editorial design for a publication might take 4-8 weeks depending on length and complexity. Corporate branding projects typically require 6-10 weeks. We provide detailed timelines in each project proposal and work closely with you to accommodate your schedule and deadlines.

What does your collaborative process involve? +

Our process follows four phases: 1) Discovery & Strategy - we learn about your goals, audience, and content; 2) Concept Development - we create and present initial design directions; 3) Design & Production - we develop the complete design system and all necessary assets; 4) Review & Refinement - we incorporate feedback and conduct quality assurance before final delivery. You're involved at each stage with regular check-ins and opportunities to provide input.

How many revisions are included in a project? +

Most projects include two rounds of revisions at each major milestone. This typically provides sufficient opportunity to refine the work while keeping projects on schedule. Additional revision rounds can be accommodated if needed and are addressed in the project proposal. Our collaborative approach means most projects stay within the included revision rounds because we incorporate feedback continuously throughout the process.

Do you work on rush projects? +

We can accommodate expedited timelines depending on our current workload and the project scope. Rush projects may require adjusted pricing to accommodate prioritization and potential overtime work. Contact us to discuss your timeline, and we'll let you know if we can meet your deadline and what accommodations would be necessary.

Pricing & Payment

How much do your services cost? +

Project costs vary based on scope, complexity, and timeline. Website projects typically range from $15,000-$50,000+. Editorial design projects range from $5,000-$25,000 depending on length and complexity. Corporate branding projects typically range from $10,000-$40,000. We provide detailed, customized quotes after discussing your specific needs during the initial consultation.

Technical & Delivery

We also provide brand guidelines in PDF format for branding projects, along with logo files in multiple formats (AI, EPS, PNG, SVG).

Do you provide website hosting? +

We can recommend reliable hosting providers and assist with setup, but we do not directly provide hosting services. This allows you to choose a hosting solution that best fits your needs and budget. We work with all major hosting platforms and can guide you through the selection process if needed.

Will I own the rights to the final designs? +

Yes. Upon final payment, you receive full ownership rights to all final deliverables created specifically for your project. This includes logos, designs, website code, and other custom work. You're free to use these materials as you wish. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed. Stock images or fonts used in the project may have separate licensing requirements, which we'll clearly communicate.

Do you offer ongoing support after project completion? +

Yes. We provide 30 days of complimentary post-launch support for minor adjustments and questions.
